“If you confess
with your mouth that
Jesus is Lord,
and if you believe
in your heart
that God has raised him
from the dead,
you will be saved."
(Romans 10:9)

STATEMENT OF FAITH

GOD
There is only one God,
All-powerful, All-knowing, Ever-present,
Loving, perfect, true and just in all his ways,
Who created all that exists, both visible and unseen,
Who made humanity in His own likeness, and
Who rules over the universe, which He set in order.

SCRIPTURE
He revealed himself through prophets, messengers of old, who wrote down His message for mankind. God's message is contained in the Holy Scriptures, the Bible:
The Law,
The Prophets,
The Writings, and
The New Covenant,
All true in their portrayal of God and His dealings with mankind,
All reliable for instruction in God's will.

MAN & SALVATION
Mankind by nature is spiritually fallen and needs to be restored to a right relationship with the creator. This salvation may be freely obtained by faith in God, repentance from sin, and commitment to follow God's decrees. This redemption of Man and all of creation is God's ultimate goal.

MESSIAH
The Messiah is the sum of all of God's efforts at restoring mankind. He is a Prophet like Moses, Priest like Melchizedek, King like David, and Servant like Joseph. He is the ultimate Teacher of Righteousness, Judge of the Nations, Suffering Servant foretold by Isaiah, the God who became a man, Savior of the World, and Son of the Living God. This Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus) of Nazareth was born of a virgin according to prophecy, and lived a sinless life in accordance with God's laws. He proclaimed the imminence of God's kingdom, and offered His life as an atonement sacrifice for the sins of all people. His resurrection from death and ascension into heaven validate His ministry, fulfill many of God's promises, and give hope to those who follow Him.

OTHER
The Holy Spirit abides in those who belong to God. He instructs, convicts, and empowers believers in their relationship with God. Messiah's followers have an obligation to love all people and to share the Good News of His kingdom. The chief goal of mankind is to glorify God, enjoy Him forever, and demonstrate it to others so they too might "taste and see that the Lord is good." Public immersion in water (t'villah/baptism) is a necessary means of identifying with Messiah and His people. It is a testimony of faith but has no saving power in itself. Messiah will return at the end of days to judge mankind and establish His throne from Jerusalem, and those who have died prior to that time will experience resurrection from the dead.
